TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY

Two Sides to Every Story

Down on the beach the children play
the sun is shining it's a lovely day.
A picnic lunch in the afternoon and
wouldn't it be good if it could stay this way.

In the sky no clouds roll by
kites and birds in a gentle breeze.
Men on yachts and people jogging
and a nice long drink would be sure to please.

Summer time is here again, under a tree in a shady spot.
oh! in the sun I come to life and I jump in the water if it gets too hot.

There are lovers strolling arm in arm
kissing on the bench by the waterside.
Children laugh and they jump with joy
as a happy old couple walk a doggie by.

There was a baby in a pram with an ice cream cone.
But when the wheel hit the kerb it fell into the sand.
The child let loose with a horrendous sound
amid the chocolaty mess on her face and hands.

Summer time is here again, under a tree in a shadey spot .
In the sun I come to life and I jump in the water if it gets too hot.

Banana ... bum, titty ... bum, titty ... bum, bum, bum.

Back up on the high street buskers play.
Engines throb and the words are lost.
A circle forms in the evening light
and the minstrals give it all for the coins you toss.

There are working girls on every corner.
Pretty boys dancing, cheek to cheek.
Day or night it's the same old story
sin on saturday pray all week.

Summer time is here again, under a tree in a shadey spot.
Oh! in the sun I come to life and I, jump in the water if it gets too hot.
If it gets too hot … Yeah! …
